How far along are you? 27 weeks (Welcome to the 3rd Trimester…)

Size of Baby:  Head of Cauliflower

Favorite Maternity clothes this week? I’ll tell you what’s NOT my favorite, my demi panel maternity pants, which are now starting to get really tight on my belly – more spandex please!

Stretch marks? No (thanks goodness!)

How’s your Sleep?  Good.

Favorite moment this week? I had another doctor appointment this week which is always nice to hear the heartbeat and have that connection to our baby, and in the 4D ultrasound she looked so much like her brother (cheeks, big lips, button nose).

Plus our nursery renovation has begun (see pictures below)!

Do you miss anything? Red Wine (once again terrible two’s make me miss my 1 glass in the evening, even though it’s been forever since I have even smelled a glass a wine!)

Do you have any Food cravings? Sweets.

Anything making you Nauseas? No aversions.

Mood?  Good

What are you looking forward to? I’m going to start buying some of the items I have been scoping out for the nursery including a glider, new (smaller) changing table, and some cute décor.  I was waiting till the nursery was completed so I can actually start setting things up in the room.

How far along are you? 26 weeks (6.5 months!)

Size of Baby:  English hothouse cucumber

Favorite Maternity clothes this week? Leggings and layers but it’s supposed to be in the high 70’s to low 80’s this weekend so I’ll get to wear dresses and flip flops this weekend!

Stretch marks? No, still using vitamin E oil though for protection

How’s your Sleep?  Good, but best when I get my workout in so I’ve really been trying to work out (even if it’s only for 20 minutes) every day.

Favorite moment this week? Talking to Bode about being a big boy and that his sister will be the new baby in the house.  I think this is actually a bittersweet moment because I’m not ready to let go of him being my baby.  While I don’t really want him to grow up, I think that these life changing moments will help shape him into the person he is going to be one day.  We have been talking up him going to preschool this year and he is so excited every day to remind us, “Bode gets to go to school one day!”  Typing those words just put a smile on my face to know he is that excited about school.  While I don’t want him to grow up too fast I would like these ‘terrible twos’ to pass by quickly because it’s really making everything we do with him difficult.  But I love him still and I love our conversations about him becoming a big brother.

Do you miss anything? My old clothes, I don’t plan on buying much more since I feel like I should be able to transition to dresses for the last 2 months.

Do you have any Food cravings? Breakfast foods and chocolate (because its Valentine’s Day/Week!)

Anything making you Nauseas? No aversions.

Mood?  Good and Bad, I’m starting to get the same mood swings I experienced in the 1st trimester (which of course I didn’t blog about because I started blogging at 20 weeks).  It might just be due to underlined stressed that there is only 3 ½ months till this baby arrives and I’m a little worried about all the changes that are going to go on.  One baby is already a lot of change for a couple, but having two kids is going to change a lot of the current dynamic we have in our family.  I’m very excited to be having this baby and for Bode to be able to grow up with a sister but I know we’ll have some growing pains in the beginning.  Just some of the things I’ve been thinking about which I feel have affected my mood, however I should know that most of what will happen is out of my control, but that doesn’t prevent me from thinking about it.

What are you looking forward to? Next week our nursery renovation (room addition) begins which is really exciting because I can finally start decorating the room and getting ready for baby girl!  I’ll post pictures next week of the progress…

Size of Baby:  Rutabaga

Favorite Maternity clothes this week? I love my long black maxi skirt and actually attempted to go shopping and find more maxi’s but I might be too early in the season…

Stretch marks? None, I started using vitamin E oils just in case!

How’s your Sleep?  Good, I’ve been going to bed early lately because I’m so exhausted and can’t stay awake.

Favorite moment this week? Matt and I got a couples massage this past weekend and it was amazing, and so nice to have some alone time with my hubby.  I also took my glucose test and it looks like I passed it because I haven’t heard anything back from the doctor yet so that’s a good thing.

Do you miss anything? We went to a nice local restaurant for dinner on Saturday night and I wish I could have ordered a martini with dinner, but otherwise the food itself was delicious and I was fully satisfied by the end of the meal.

Do you have any Food cravings? Breakfast foods and strawberries with whipped cream (maybe because Valentine’s Day is around the corner).

Anything making you Nauseas? No aversions.

Mood?  Good!

What are you looking forward to? I’ve begun some nesting around the house, getting ready for our room addition to take place and of course our new little one to enter into the world.  I started organizing cupboards and throwing away unwanted items to make room for another person living in our home.  Organizing has to be one of my favorite things; it really relaxes me and makes me happy.

Size of Baby: Cantaloupe (length of an ear of corn)
Favorite Maternity clothes this week? The layers are back – leggings, boots, long tunics, sweaters, scarves…
Stretch marks? none
How’s your Sleep? I needed a vacation from my vacation… catching up on all the missed sleep over the weekend!
Favorite moment this week? The realization that 1) I’m 6 months along and 2) only 3 months left at work till maternity leave which is always a nice reminder the baby will be here shortly!
Do you miss anything? My energy {yawn}
Do you have any Food cravings? Continues to be breakfast foods… I’ve been thinking about this French Toast at a local eatery for weeks, my need to finally give into the craving this weekend!
Anything making you Nauseas? No aversions.
Mood? Good! We aren’t super busy in our life right now which makes it a lot easier for me to balance everything we do have going on.
What are you looking forward to? Warm weather and wearing spring dresses. I don’t want to buy too many more winter maternity clothes because before we know it the weather is going to change and that’s when I can wear dresses again. I can’t believe that once summer comes we are going to have another baby; this pregnancy is really flying by!
